Audition clarification: piano accompaniment is not required, audition should be around 10 minutes.
What’s in it for you?
Admitted students will receive a number of benefits, many of which are still being finalized. That being said, there are concrete goals that we are working towards:
- Free transportation to New York City and housing for the weekend
- A world-class conductor and soloist
- Work with top coaches from NYC and the local area in sectionals and masterclasses
Who can apply?
Any undergraduate student in the classes 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 from Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania or Yale University can apply. The applications will be reviewed by professional judges and a roster will be selected from the applications.
Want to join our staff?
We are still looking for staff members! Check out our current staff, and our open positions. It is not required that you play a musical instrument (though it doesn’t hurt), and there is no guarantee that you will be a member of the orchestra. We truly hope you apply to join our staff - the only requirements for application are the same requirements for applying to the orchestra - a current undergraduate in an Ivy League university.
A user account is required for applying to the 2017 - 2018 Ivy Orchestra roster. You must use your college email address for registration. Unfortunately, each student can only register for one instrument application. After registering, you will receive an activation email at the email you register with. If you have any troubles, please email email@example.com!
