Ivy Orchestra at Opportunity Music ProjectPublished: October 30, 2017 | Back to All News
Ivy Orchestra’s staff members and outreach programs staff traveled to New York to host a talk on the college admissions process, concentrating on how music plays a role in admissions. In attendance were the students and parents of Opportunity Music Project, an organization dedicated to providing free music lessons to those who cannot afford lessons.
Students without means can have a difficult time navigating the college and conservatory admissions process. Our talk, followed by the question and answer session, provided key information for these students. The conversation was productive, and well received by those in attendance.
Ivy Orchestra plans to continue our relationship with Opportunity Music Project through future outreach programs and our orchestra festival.
